Via Hole Filling and Plugging Machine – THP30” |
 |
Work on 2 different stations at the same time using 2 different programs.
Included with the machine are:
- Control cabinet with operation display
- Software
- 1 set of fill and cleaning squeegees
- 1 paste container
|
The Double Chamber Plugging Machine is designed for the via hole filling process with conductive and non-conductive paste.
To avoid any air bubbles inside the plugged hole, the filling process is designed in a special manner. The plugging paste is
forced by controlled pressure which allows the paste flow to be even. The paste is stored in a special container which can hold
up to ¾ gallon, (approx. 4.5 kg non-conductive paste in each plugging chamber). A frequency controlled motor drives the
plunger to provide adequate pressure on the paste for even distribution on any type of boards, including very high aspect ratio
boards. The operator can work on two different stations at the same time using two different programs. The inner covering is
made from stainless steel in order to ensure an easy clean up.
Function:
After the PCB is securely clamped in the filling position, you can start the filling cycle by pushing the start button. The manual
doors can be closed during this time. The front doors are controlled by a safety light bar system. The back doors must be
closed during all working cycles. The process begins by the filling and cleaning squeegees move to the top of the board. The
squeegee then starts to move down the board, filling the holes. The speed of the squeegee’s movement can be controlled and
changed during the process. The plugging cycle ends on a specified set point or at the end of the panel. By the end of this
cycle, the operator can decide to run the cycle again, if needed.
The Double Chamber Plugging Machine gives you the capability to run two cycles side by side absolutely independent, or run a
filling cycle in the first chamber and a cleaning cycle in the second chamber. Past experience has shown that some panel types
may need to be run through a cleaning cycle with the squeegees on both sides after the filling cycle in order to avoid excessive
sanding work after the baking process.
Advantages:
- Using controlled paste pressure and flow rates for the filling process
- A paste container with a volume of ¾ gallons give you a longer processing time between the refills
- The refill of the paste container works absolutely clean and air bubble free
- Using the force from motor driven plungers for pushing the paste in and through high aspect ratio holes
- A variety of different size paste containers are available for storage of different types of paste
- User friendly programming with programmable parameters for speed, vacuum and plugging area
- The machine is designed for vertical operation in order to save floor space
- The combination of two independent working chambers in one machine allows the operator to work with 2 PCB’s at the same time, using two different programs.
- The squeegee systems are made from anodized aluminum and tension free adapters to hold squeegees in place. The placement is easy to reach and designed for fast changes.

Manual Plane Razing Device – PD 30” |
 |
The PD 30“ removes epoxy and copper burrs from PCB’s and innerlayers. |
Function:
The panel is held in a fixed position by a vacuum table, which protects the panel from moving during
the operation of the process. The unit is protected on three sides and overhead by glass walls. Only
the front working area of the unit is open to the operator. The machine is constructed of tubular steel.
The grinder moves uniformly over the board so that the complete surface is ground easily and
uniformly. The dust generated from the sanding unit must be removed by an external vacuum, which
is provided by the customer. A frequency converter controls the revolution speed of the unit so that
fine adjustment of the sanding unit can be accomplished. Pressure for the unit is also controlled by the
operator settings. This unit eliminates the problems of over sanding in a specific area.
Uniform finish with fine surface roughness. Superior sanding is achieved through sanding pressure
controlled rotation and oscillation head motion.
Main Applications:
- Sanding after hole plugging
- Deburring and dressing after through-hole drilling (thick panels)
- Dressing after plating
- Dressing BGA
- Dressing built-up PBC
- Dressing and cleaning stainless steel press plates
- Dressing multilayers

Power Squeegee – PS200 |
 |
The Power Squeegee – PS200 is designed for via
hole fill on high aspect ratio boards. This hand
tool is especially for proto type boards with limited
plugging areas like BGA’s or similar and process
evaluation.
|
Function:
The paste is stored inside this tool and is pressed through the holes of the PCB’s with
compressed air, which is controlled by a foot switch. You simply control the compressed air
as you slowly fill the holes. This is a “one step” process and there is no risk of getting air
bubbles inside the holes. When you are finished, the Power Squeegee PS200 is stored
according to the manufacture’s recommendation.
Some of the recommended types of paste:
- DuPont, CB100 – Conductive Silver Paste
- Tatsuta, AE1190 – Conductive Copper Paste
- Peters, PP2795 – Non Conductive Epoxy Paste
- San-EI, PHP900 – Non Conductive Epoxy Paste
- Taiyo, THP100DXI – Non Conductive Epoxy Paste
Advantages:
- No clean up or change from the paste to storage containers
- Using up to 75 lbs. of pressure to push the paste through very high aspect ratio boards
- No direct contact between the compressed air and the paste
